Issam Ahmed Hussein Mohammed Khalifa, a 30-year-old Yemeni citizen from the Shahara district of Amran governorate, married with two children, works continuously transporting consumer goods from Sana'a to Sayoun to make a living.

He was killed by an armed gang riding in a car after their attempted robbery of the truck he was driving on the public road in the Al-Aqad area of the Qutn district in Hadramaut governorate on May 6, 2024. Crimes and violations by armed elements are recurring due to the prevailing security breakdown in those areas. Insan  Organization For Rights and Freedoms calls on the security authorities in Hadramaut governorate to fulfill their role in ensuring the safety of all travelers on the roads and urges the swift arrest and accountability of the perpetrators to prevent the recurrence of similar crimes
