The Israeli entity launched a series of airstrikes targeting vital civilian facilities in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and the province of Ho
Udeidah, causing fatalities, injuries, and significant damage to infrastructure.
The attacks focused on Sanaa International Airport, targeting the control tower, runways, and areas around the arrival and departure terminals.
The airstrikes also hit the power generation station in the Hezyaz area, south of the capital, exacerbating the suffering of the civilian population.
Sanaa’s Foreign Minister, Jamal Amer, announced that the strikes targeted the airport shortly after the arrival of a UN aircraft carrying the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom, accompanied by the UN Resident Coordinator in Sanaa. The bombing injured the assistant captain of the UN aircraft, who was taken to the hospital, in addition to killing two airport employees and wounding 14 others.
Amer described the act as a blatant disregard for the United Nations and international laws, noting that targeting civilian facilities and infrastructure such as ports and power stations is evidence of Israel's failure and desperation.
In Hudeidah province, the Israeli strikes targeted the Hodeidah port, Ras Kathib power station, and Ras Issa oil port. According to the Yemeni Ministry of Health spokesperson, Anis Al-Subhi, the aggression resulted in the death of one worker at Ras Issa port and injuries to three others.
Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemned the aggression, describing the attacks as a flagrant violation of international principles and laws. It called on the United Nations and international organizations to take a firm stance against such terrorist acts.
