The “Insan” Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemns and denounces the targeting of civilian facilities in Yemen by American aggression aircraft.
Insan Organization followed with deep sorrow and regret the crime committed by U.S. warplanes, which targeted the Al-Sawari Ceramic Factory in Bani Matar District, west of Sana’a Governorate, on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 10:00 PM. According to the Yemeni Ministry of Health, the initial toll of the attack was five martyrs and thirteen wounded civilians.
The targeting of factories and civilian facilities constitutes a war crime under all international laws and humanitarian norms.
The Insan Organization affirms that such actions by the United States of America represent a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, particularly Article 3 of the 1949 Geneva Conventions, which stipulates the protection of civilians from attacks, as well as Article 147 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits attacks on civilian populations. Furthermore, Article 51 of Additional Protocol I prohibits indiscriminate attacks against civilians and civilian property.
The organization calls on the international community and the United Nations to fulfill their responsibilities regarding the crimes of U.S. aggression against Yemen by putting an end to the aggression and initiating an international investigation to hold those responsible for these crimes against Yemeni civilians accountable.
