Journalist Data | 26-05-2022

Ensan Organization for Rights and Freedoms revealed a kidnapping crime committed by the forces of the so-called (National Army) in the city of Marib.

Whereas Ensan Organization sources confirmed that journalist (Naziha Nasser Ali Al-Junaid) was kidnapped and taken to the notorious Political Security prison while she was in the city of Marib to obtain a passport.

The organization documented the kidnapping of journalist Naziha Al-Junaid in early January 2021.

It is worth mentioning that the journalist Al-Junaid is a mother of five children from Raymah governorate, and she worked as a journalist, and she decided to travel to Cairo for treatment, along with a group of women, and tried to obtain a passport from Marib, because the coalition prevents travel through Seiyun Airport with passports issued by Sana’a.

According to the organization's sources, six months after the kidnapping, the women who were with the journalist Al-Junaid came out and informed her children of the fate of their kidnapped mother.

The Human Rights Organization also calls on the United Nations and all organizations concerned with the protection of human rights and press freedoms to do their duty to intervene and pressure the authorities in Marib to release journalist Al-Junaid and all the abductees in those prisons.

Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms condemns these crimes, considering them a blatant violation of the freedom of the press and journalists.
