The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemns the Israeli occupation army’s announcement of a new military operation against the city of Gaza — home to hundreds of thousands of civilians and displaced people — under the name “Gideon’s Chariots 2.” This operation is a continuation of Israel’s systematic war policy that has targeted the population for more than twenty-two months.

Launching large-scale military operations in a densely populated city, amid destroyed infrastructure and worsening humanitarian conditions, constitutes a war crime under international humanitarian law and demonstrates blatant disregard for ongoing efforts to halt aggression, reach humanitarian agreements for prisoner exchanges, and alleviate suffering.

The organization warns that the continuation of such operations by Israel will only deepen the humanitarian catastrophe, endanger the lives of innocent civilians, and undermine any prospects for peaceful or humanitarian solutions. It stresses that the silence of the international community grants Israel a green light to persist in committing crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Insan Organization calls on international parties and mediators to exert maximum pressure on the Israeli government to immediately halt this operation, ensure the protection of civilians, and facilitate the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The organization holds Israel and the U.S. administration fully responsible for the consequences of this escalation and the resulting grave crimes and violations.
