The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemns the attack launched by the Israeli occupation authorities on the Fleet of Resilience, followed by the arrest of civilian activists who took part in it. The organization considers this action a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the fundamental principles of human rights.

The Fleet of Resilience was a purely humanitarian initiative aimed at breaking the blockade imposed on the residents of the Gaza Strip and delivering a message of global solidarity with the besieged Palestinian people.

However, the occupation responded to this peaceful step with assault and detention, in clear defiance of international conventions, foremost among them the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits collective punishment and guarantees freedom of humanitarian work and safe movement.

The organization affirms that the arrest of civilian activists engaged in a humanitarian mission can only be described as a political and moral crime, necessitating their immediate release and accountability for those responsible for this aggressive conduct.

The organization also calls on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to urgently act to stop these violations, work seriously to end the unjust blockade on Gaza, and ensure the Palestinian people’s rights to freedom and dignity.

Insan warns that the continued silence of the international community provides cover for the occupation to persist in its repressive practices—undermining the foundations of justice and threatening prospects for peace and stability across the entire region.
