Statement
The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms closely monitored with great concern the brutal campaign of arrests conducted by the Israeli Occupation Army against the medical staff at Al-Shifa Hospital during the evacuation operations imposed by the occupying forces.
At the top of the list of those arrested was Dr. Mohammed Abu Salamia, the hospital director, who was forcibly taken by the Israeli Occupation Army to an undisclosed location after stopping the convoy of patients and medical teams, subjecting them to interrogation and ill-treatment.
The arbitrary acts of abduction and detention targeting medical personnel from Gaza are in violation of the law and constitute a crime by all measures. We hold the occupying state fully responsible for their safety and the respect of their full rights.
We, at the Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms, call for solidarity with the medical staff from Gaza and condemn and denounce the repeated crimes committed by the Israeli Occupation Army against hospitals, healthcare centers, and medical personnel from Gaza.
We also emphasize the importance of utilizing the ceasefire conditions to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and enhance the human rights and media presence to convey the details of the catastrophe endured by the people of Gaza.
