The Human Rights Organization Insan strongly condemns the horrific massacre perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. The attack claimed the lives of 20 civilians, including journalists, doctors, and rescue workers, raising the number of martyred journalists to 246 since the beginning of the genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The organization affirms that targeting civilians and workers in the medical and media fields constitutes a full-fledged war crime.
The organization views this attack as part of the ongoing campaign of brutality and genocide against the Palestinian people, and calls for:
An urgent international investigation into these crimes and the prosecution of all those responsible.
An immediate ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
Urgent protection for journalists and medical teams from any future targeting.
Insan stresses the need for the international community to move beyond statements of condemnation and to take concrete steps, including the imposition of strict sanctions on the Israeli occupation, to ensure the protection of civilians, prevent the recurrence of such heinous massacres, and compel Israel to abide by international laws and conventions by force.
