Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms expresses its profound shock and strong condemnation over the revelations surrounding the case of luring and sexually assaulting children in Aden, which represents one of the most horrific moral and humanitarian crimes to shake the conscience of Yemeni society. The incident exposes the scale of moral collapse and dangerous ethical deterioration prevailing in areas under the control of the internationally recognized government, amid the growing influence of armed groups operating outside the framework of the law and supported by the United Arab Emirates.

The sexual assaults committed against minors, the abuse of influence to protect the accused, and the intimidation and pressure exerted on victims’ families to force them into dropping their complaints constitute a fully-fledged crime and a blatant violation of all humanitarian values, social norms, and local and international laws. These acts confirm the existence of a dangerous state of impunity and official complicity with organized criminal networks.

The organization affirms that this crime cannot be viewed as an isolated individual incident; rather, it comes within a horrifying series of violations witnessed in Aden Governorate in recent years, including crimes of child rape, blackmail against women, torture, and enforced disappearances, amid suspicious silence and a cold response from the security and judicial authorities affiliated with the existing authorities there, despite the gravity and danger of these crimes to society.

Insan Organization also condemns any attempts to cover up for those involved, facilitate their escape, or exploit political and military influence to protect them, considering such actions as direct participation in the crime and a further undermining of citizens’ remaining trust in justice and security institutions.

The organization calls for the following:

Opening an independent and transparent investigation under the supervision of impartial judicial authorities, free from any political or military interference.

Promptly arresting all those involved and those who concealed the crimes, and bringing them before a fair and public trial.

Providing full protection for the victims and their families, and ensuring that they are not subjected to threats or blackmail.

Holding accountable the security and local leaders accused of complicity or obstructing the course of justice.

Urging international organizations concerned with human rights and child protection to monitor these violations and pressure for an end to the state of impunity.


Insan Organization stresses that protecting children and safeguarding the dignity of society are responsibilities that allow no compromise or justification, and that concealing such crimes under any political or regional cover constitutes a resounding moral failure and an additional crime against the victims and society as a whole.
