Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms has been monitoring the recent suspension of flights through the only airline permitted to operate to and from Sana'a Airport (Yemen Airways). This action, at this time, is considered a negative development coinciding with comprehensive peace talks in Yemen. The suspension of flights has caused a doubling of the suffering of Yemenis, particularly for patients in urgent need of travel. The restrictions imposed on Sana'a International Airport in recent years, and up until now, by the coalition forces, constitute a blatant violation of international laws and conventions. The United Nations and the international community should exert pressure to completely lift the restrictions and blockade on Sana'a International Airport, as it is a humanitarian demand and entitlement for every Yemeni citizen to have the right to travel and move without constraints.
